Started the diet today. Already had loads of loupe, oranges and starting on Guaua. Couldn't resist a black coffee though. They HAVE said it is ok to have black coffee. Feeling not hungry but a little tired already :(

Yes you can live without soup. I have done this program recently and it rocks.Since you are in hostel i am sure your taste buds must have died and you can eat anything... (I myself spent almost 8 yrs in hostel)
- Soup is when you feel hungry, its not at all mendatory, although i suggest you to eat as much as possible (only what is allowed that day).
- 1st Day - Fruit part is okay for you, since you can buy them from market.
- 2nd Day - Get some good vegitables Carrots, Flower, Beans , that you might eat without cooking or by just boiling.
- 3rd Day - Same as above two, mix both of them
- 4th Day - Bananas and Milk (again no cooking required)
- 5th Day - Tomato and Brown Rice (you can get brown rice from any of the good south indian restaurants esp. those who cook kerala food).
- 6 th day - Its again rice, fruit and veg.
- 7th day - Rice fruits and fruit juices...
I don't think you require much of cooking for all these days, provided that you have the courage to eat vegitables as it is. For me it was really very easy since i can eat anything..
Tip:- Although it is not given here but have 20-30 mins of walk everyday along with the diet, if possible do some pranayam, yoga to get the best results. I noticed that since your body is clean these things become more effective...

today is my second day of this programme. To my surprise i lost 3kgs in the very first day. I was very heavy weight and i guess that might be the reason tht i lost that much.
I made only one mistake today by having a cup of tea. Hope that it doesnt affects much.

Lossing weight was one of my goal ta get my body back after givving birth. I've read this weight loss diet tips at www.wordse.com which I follow and makes me feel more confident that I've loss almost 12 pounds.
It all depends if the diet really does work for you. I mean it can be effective if paired with exercise and right food intake. Taking it for granted and only relying on medications will prove to be a more arduous task if you don't know how to discipline yourself. Easy Calm Review

I have been doing the gm diet on and off for a couple of years now,when my weight goes up a little bit. Its very good but I have found a better way to do it. I find only the first three days are any good for weight loss,so I do days 1-3 and then return to my other weight loss program for the rest of the week, I follow this patten until I have reached the weight I want. Also try this instead of soup,cook the veg and mash,form into rounds like burgers and dry fry in a non stick pan and serve with salad, really nice, you can also drink the cooking water like soup flavoured with herbs and seasoning. Also try using chilli powder on everything it gives an added flavour and really speeds up metabolism. Doing it this way you can lose about 3-7kilos per week and it stops it getting really boring so that you give up too soon. Good luck to everyone embarking on a weight loss program I know how hard it can be, but stick with it.

I'm working on my first day today. I do not like watermelons..but I'll still eat them, except that not that much. I ate grapes, blackberries, an orange, 2 slices of mango, a peach and a golden kiwi. These are all fine right? I will eat watermelon for dinner..
I just did 1 hour of exercise including stretches and running for 30mins.
Am I doing things right?
Was looking at Day 2, and I want to know:
Can I have raw vegetables instead of cooked ones? I prefer raw vege to cooked vege. Will this affect?

i followed the diet religiously except for having my regular dose of coffee with sugar free...i lost 1 kg in the first week...does that mean that i wont loose any more weight if i tried it again??? Is this low loss in weight as i consumed coffee during the diet??

I have enjoyed reading your posts. I am going to get started tomorrow on this diet. I have already made first days soup and bought the fruit. So hopefully everything will go ok. Only worry is going without coffee, and managing exercise. I hurt my foot yesterday (I was hoping to walk 1 hour each day as exercise), but don't know how to do it now.
I have tried a different version of this diet before - but did not know how to adapt to vegetarian diet. So, it is helpful to have this diet.
Previously I have added spices & herbs to the soup - which I think will be helpful on the feast day (with rice).

* 23 oz water
* 06 large onions
* 02 green peppers
* 03 whole tomatoes
* 1 cabbage
* 1 bunch celery - add herbs and seasoning as desired.
in this recipe ,,, can i avoid celery ?? and does 1 cabbage means one whole cabbage that will yeild a lot of soup ?!!!
and on day two .. what amount of vegetables is allowed .. and can i take boiled potato with salt and pepper ???
