Weight loss diets?

It is a sign of our times that the term weight loss diets has acquired an almost super-star status! What does it really mean to you?

There's an entire universe of context behind this phrase. Overweight, unhealthy, lethargic, bloated, low self-esteemed existence of us modern-day humans evolving (devolving?) from our supposedly healthy, natural lifestyles in the African jungles!

Weight loss is a very inappropriate way of describing a solution for our unhealthy lifestyles. Weight gain is simply a manifestation of something deeper. Did I say what? Unhealthy lifestyles. That's again a very much loaded term, and the object of very many subjective views. So, let me not dwell on that in this very short blog post.

Here, I've got something interesting for you - a website which provides a bird's eye view of the topic of this post - weight loss diets.

Hi Here are my suggestions. 1

Hi

Here are my suggestions.

1 - You need to consult your doctor, whoever prescribed your medicines, whether being on this diet is safe for your body and ensure that the medicines would not nullify the effects of this diet and vice versa.

2 - This diet plan is basically to address weight issues pertaining to stress, life style, eating habits, etc. So if you follow this religiously, you will definitely lose weight. Reg. gyn. issues and heredity, I believe that to some extent you should be able to reduce. I ( and a friend ) have had gyn. issues and stress, this has helped a lot. And if it is heredity ( you might also have high BP, cholesterol & glucose due to genetic reasons ), you can take an initiative to address them so that your future generations are benefitted.

3 - As told in the diet plan, cantaloupe and watermelon are suggested. However, except potatoes and bananas, you can have all possible fruits & veggies ( and again avoid plantain & root veggies like beetroot, yam, etc. )

4 - Dear, there is a first time for everything. It doesnt do any harm if you have raw tomatoes. Try it. Else, the closest and safest alternative would be to consume tomato juice with just tomatoes and water ( sans sugar, salt ).

5 - Yes, you can cook the veggies following the usual recipe, but with less oil and lesser salt than normal.

6 - I'd suggest to have cooked brown rice ( it is fiber rich ) with lentils / spinach. Reduce the amount of rice to half a cup and add half a cup of the other stuff, so that you get good protein. If you have one cup of white rice, you'll go back to square 1 and your body will not get accustomed to getting lesser fuel and your cravings will be the same as before, which you would not want to do.

My answers are based on my knowledge & research, am not a pro in this field.

All the best.

Hi Nothing special, I just

Hi

Nothing special, I just try the soup with variations everyday.

For seasoning, I add one of the following, so that I get a different taste everyday.

1. Cumin seeds - roasted
2. Curry leaves powder
3. Mint leaves / powder
4. Italian seasoning

Once the veggies are boiled well, I take 2 scoops of them, cool it and blend it well and add it back to the mixture so that they give a medium.
